Personalized Curriculum with Personality Development

Every child is unique. That’s why we design individualized learning plans built around each student’s interests, needs, and learning style.

Beyond the core academic subjects, we promote self-confidence, resilience, and a growth mindset—thereby sparking curiosity, intrinsic motivation, and a lifelong love of learning.

Mixed-Age & Project-Based Learning

In our mixed-age classrooms, children learn together across different age groups, supporting and inspiring each other. Lessons are project-based and interdisciplinary, helping students see connections across subjects and apply their knowledge to real-life topics in meaningful ways.

Bilingual: German & English

At SOT, students are immersed in German and English every single day, through lessons, play, and conversation.

About half of our team is German-speaking and the other half is English-speaking, so the children learn both languages naturally and intuitively. They develop authentic language skills and a lasting, natural connection to both languages.

Local, yet International

Die SOT folgt dem Schweizer Lehrplan 21 und integriert gleichzeitig ein umfassendes Englischcurriculum.

Students develop a strong foundation within the Swiss community—building belonging and cultural understanding—while gaining the skills to navigate and contribute confidently to a global world.

We are a bilingual private school (DE+EN) in the heart of Zurich and Uster and offer Kindergarten, primary school and secondary/ Gymnasium. Our family-friendly structure as a day school offers full care Mon.-Thurs. from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (plus Friday optional), flexible start and end times and even the vacation weeks can be taken as desired.

Our method is based on personalized and project-based learning with a focus on developing the 12 core competencies.

We offer a modern, sustainable and child- and family-friendly alternative to the traditional school system, which not only imparts knowledge, but also promotes intrinsic motivation, strengthens innate curiosity and develops personality and character. Instead of just teaching, we promote learning.

Why a new school?

Diego De Nicola, founder of School of Tomorrow, on the origin of the idea, thoughts on the philosophy and method, and the goals and vision of this new school.

"Children should not only remember what once was or understand what is now... They should create what is yet to come."
- Diego De Nicola (Founder School of Tomorrow)

Our mission.

Our mission is to innovate the way education meets the future. We foster intrinsic motivation and personal development. We create personalized learning paths that connect with the local and global community and promote both co-creation and lifelong learning.

Personalized.

No one-size-fits-all.

Every child is different. Every child deserves a personalized, suitable and child-centered education. School of Tomorrow celebrates individual abilities and encourages personal responsibility and self-motivation. For this reason, there is no standardized curriculum for all to follow. Each child develops his or her own curriculum, which takes into account the guidelines of the Swiss Lehrplan21, but goes far beyond it.

Method

Innovative.

Creative, different and future-oriented.

Our world is not only in a constant state of flux; the speed at which everything is changing is also increasing rapidly. For this reason, a modern and future-oriented school must be able to continuously question, adapt and reinvent itself. The same applies to the future of our children. This is why School of Tomorrow places great importance to innovation, creativity and "thinking differently".

Core competencies

Bilingual.

Local and international.

A language is much more than just a form of communication. It represents culture, understanding, logic, history ... an ideal basis for learning to think and express oneself in a networked, creative and analytical way. School of Tomorrow is bilingual, German and English - other languages according to interest and possibility. Other types of "languages" are also encouraged, such as the languages of programming, music and philosophy.
