"Education is example and love. Nothing else."

The synergy between family and school.

School should not be an antithesis to family life. Rather, school should be able to integrate itself into family life in order to provide a holistic educational and developmental path. For this reason, we don't only support children in every way possible, but also strive to make an important contribution to the parents and family life as a whole.

Behavior vs. Knowledge

We commonly see "knowledge" as being the domain of the school, while "behavior" lies solely in the responsibility of the parents. This dichotomy has proven inefficient and unrealistic in modern day. Education - holistically speaking - must encompass both knowledge AND behavior. Hence both of these domains are shared between school and family time. And this is a good thing! But it does present a new and challenging task for all parties involved. For this reason, we strongly believe that cooperation, openness and regular exchange are key for a truly well-rounded education, that encompasses all relevant aspects.

If we manage to use the synergy of this valuable combination, the children will be the biggest winners.

The "SOT Night" - for families, with families.

Every 1-2 months, the School of Tomorrow organizes the so-called "SOT Night". This is an event specifically designed for parents of the SOT and is included in the school tuition. The main purpose is to stay in constant exchange, to learn from each other, to improve and optimize, and to leverage the power of our network and community.

The SOT will directly contribute with lectures and workshops on relevant and important topics to support parents and where desired also provide methods, tips and tricks so that the children's education and development is synchronized, aligned and flows seamlessly from school to family and back. These events can be seen as a sort of continued education for parents, which allows them to develop together with their child, stay active and exchange ideas at a high level.

In order to develop the core compentecies and install a "growth mindset" both during school and at home, it is helpful - even essential - that parents are informed about certain educational structures and "best practices". This is why we hold these engaging and entertaining SOT-Nights. Not only to facilitate the development of our own children, but also to help strengthening the communication, the interaction and the relationship with our child. Finally, we strongly believe in bringing together our community, our school and our families into a network that will benefit children and parents alike.

Active Contribution.

Parents and families who would like to make an active contribution are very welcome. If, for example, parents have specific know-how or expertise in a particular field, or if families would like to actively support certain projects or help in any other way to shape our school days, please let us know.

In addition, we strive to stay in communication with families and ask to regularly meet or get feedback, not to assess a child, but rather to exchange ideas, strengthen the relationship and work together to help the children fulfill their potential. If desired, extra counseling sessions or coaching can also be booked.

Modern technology.

Through the use of modern technology, parents can directly follow much of their children's progress, stay informed at all times, and in a sense, become part of everyday school life.

We use our own app which facilitates the daily life of our families (e.g. absences, illness, vacation, etc. can be entered directly in the app), simplifies communication for educators and families (both direct communication to our teachers, as well as communication between parents happens directly via the app) and also plays a key role as an information tool, like a kind of internal social media (here we share projects, pictures, videos, or even information and excursions).
