Your path to School of Tomorrow
Thank you very much for your interest in School of Tomorrow! We know that choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions in a child’s life. That’s why we offer a personalized admissions process tailored to the specific needs of each family. We regularly host information sessions, open houses, and trial days. These are great opportunities to visit our school, explore the learning environment, and get to know our teachers. At the same time, your child will have the chance to interact with other children and see how they feel at our school.
Registering for an event or reserving a school place is free of charge and non-binding. However, places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Once full, there will be a waiting list.

This is how the admission process works
Contact Us
The first step in the admission process is very simple: Get in touch with us!
There are several ways to do this: Attend one of our regular information sessions or an open house, schedule a personal tour of our school, or fill out our school enrollment request form directly.
All of these options give you a no-obligation look at School of Tomorrow and the chance to get to know us.
1.
Application form
Complete the family questionnaire, sent by e-mail, to finalize the request.

School visit & Getting to know each other
Kindergarten
On-site meeting between the child, parents, and educator during visiting hours.
Primary
A short on-site introduction between the child, parents, and educators during a trial day. After the initial settling-in, the parents leave.
Secondary school
Experience Day on-site for the child. The day begins with an introduction between the child, the parents, and the educators. After this, the parents leave the premises and the child experiences a full school day. For children applying from outside Switzerland who are unable to attend in person, a video call can be arranged instead.
*If an additional Trial Day is required, the registration fee of CHF 500 will be charged.
3.
Admissions
Decision by family and SOT on admission.
4.
Contract
The contract will be sent digitally and the first invoice will follow after signing. Once the registration fee and the first installment of school fees have been paid, your child is definitively enrolled.
5.
Welcome
The start of your personal learning journey at School of Tomorrow.
6.
N.B.: The contract must be signed within 10 days, after which the place will be released.

School of Tomorrow is a private school approved by the Canton of Zurich. Since we make sure to fulfill the official Lehrplan21 (and go far beyond it), a transition to a public school (or also to the Gymnasium) is always possible. We are officially approved for kindergarten and primary school. Our secondary school will be added in 2025, in order to provide to all students a complete learning path at our school.

There are a variety of very different schools, many with very good ideas and methods. What makes School of Tomorrow special is the focus on the child and the family, the flexibility, the personalized curriculum, the bilingual education, the modern resources and technology, the promotion of core competencies, the development of one's own personality, and much more. This depends on the needs and wishes of the family, but usually the earlier the better. Because we put a lot of focus on mindset and the development of one's individual personality, it's best to enroll your child as young as possible. We don't recommend waiting until the end of a regular school year, should you have already decided that your child will transfer to SOT. If in doubt, contact us and we will be happy to discuss everything with you personally.

Is it possible to join during the current school year?

At SOT, children learn in German and English. Both languages are seamlessly integrated into the school day and are used in class, in conversations, and during everyday activities. A German-speaking teacher and an English-speaking teacher are always present throughout the day.
Your child does not need to be fluent in both languages when they start at SOT. What’s important is that they have a solid foundation in at least one of the two languages. Depending on their age and grade level, we consider the following requirements:
kindergarten and Sun Group (approx. 1st–3rd grade): Your child should be fluent in understanding and speaking German or English. Prior knowledge of the other language is not required.
Upper- primary school s (approx. grades 4–6) and secondary school: At this age, we generally expect your child to have at least a B1 level in the weaker of the two languages so that they can participate fully in class.
Every child comes with their own unique linguistic background, which we take into account in our individualized support. Based on their existing language skills, we provide targeted guidance for your child’s language development and integrate this into their personalized curriculum and daily school routine.
Since both languages are part of our daily lives here, the children have many opportunities to use them, gain confidence, and expand their language skills quite naturally. Each child learns at their own pace and without unnecessary pressure to perform.
