The daily schedule.

We have a 4-day week, from Monday to Thursday! Friday can be added as an additional day of care if desired, but is by no means mandatory or expected. At the request of the children (yes that's right, the children wanted more days at school!) we have added Friday as an optional day to support families who wish to do so.

The daily schedule of the SOT is deliberately flexible and without fixed lessons. This allows the children to concentrate, deepen and get into their flow; at the same time it allows them to choose freely when time out is needed. This also promotes personal responsibility and self-efficacy.

Exercise.

"Our" gym at the City Hallenbad - every Tuesday morning!

"Our" gymnasium at the City indoor swimming pool

Regular exercise is extremely important. Not only in childhood, but also as a good habit in adult life. The SOT promotes an active lifestyle. We take advantage of the ideal location to spend a lot of time outdoors and also regularly go to the gymnasium, swimming pool, playground, sports field, park or forest, depending on availability and opportunity.

From primary school we go swimming weekly - here the height-adjustable swimming pool exclusively for us!

Trips & Adventures.

Forest, lake, city, museum or anywhere else... we are often out and about.

Forest, lake, city, museum or anywhere else... we are outdoors practically every day.

Every now and then, school will take place outside of the school building. These "out-of-classroom experiences" are extremely valuable to discover the world at an early age, to explore and to get to know one's own environment. From theory to practice, from learning to experiencing. The SOT also organizes excursions and trips - families are informed well in advance if extra planning is required.
