Sihlberg Castle - ZH Enge

A dream comes true! In the very center of Zurich, in the Enge district, a historic castle will be the new location of the School of Tomorrow. The entire castle, including the park, is the new home for the entire primary school and kindergarten.

The location itself is not very reminiscent of a traditional school... it looks most like the magical school from Harry Potter: Hogwarts.

Sihlberg Castle was built in 1898 by the Hürlimann brewery family and is located at the highest point in Zurich's Enge district. The building is a masterpiece of historicism, designed by architect August Heinrich Müller, and combines elements of the French early Renaissance as well as late Gothic and Baroque styles; similar to the National Museum. A listed building since 2007, the palace impresses today with its ornate architecture and wonderful rooms.

With its own castle park, surrounded by nature and with a view over the city, the castle offers an inspiring and almost magical learning atmosphere. The adjacent Kloppstock meadow offers additional space for sport and exercise.

Thanks to its central location, the castle is easily accessible both by public transport and by car.

Arrival

Sihlberg Castle is centrally located in the city of Zurich, close to Enge railroad station and is easily accessible by car and public transport.

By public transport:
Tram 5, 13 and 17 or bus 66, 72: stop Waffenplatzstrasse. From there it is only about 5 minutes on foot to the castle.
Alternatively, take the train to Enge station, from there about 8 minutes on foot.

By car:

You can drive onto the property to drop off and/or pick up the children. Please note that parking on site is limited.
