Primary school
Primary school is the foundation for the future. In addition to academic knowledge, these years are crucial for developing interpersonal skills, personality, and mindset.
We give children the space and opportunities to develop individually - with project-based, bilingual lessons, lots of creativity and a genuine love of learning.
1st-6th primary class
Our primary school for children aged approximately 6–12 and corresponds to grades 1 through 6 in elementary school.
Children in this cycle already take on responsibility and also support their younger colleagues or learn directly from each other. The combination of teaching and learning as well as the first experiences with leadership, motivation, persuasion, appearance and other social and interpersonal skills are just as important in these years as the consolidation of the basic subjects (according to Lehrplan21) and the child's own interests - individually for each child.
Depending on your preferences, a transition to secondary school, a public gymnasium, or the School of Tomorrow’s gymnasium is possible. The School of Tomorrow is a candidate school for the IB Diploma, which is scheduled to be offered starting in 2028.
Surroundings
We do not have conventional classrooms or fixed age divisions. Instead, we offer a wide variety of learning spaces that can be used specifically depending on the project and work.
Homebase:
The "Homebase" is the main area for the mixed-age group - like the marketplace where everyone meets, exchanges ideas and discusses all kinds of matters.
Micro-environments:
In addition, there are our so-called "micro-environments", which have specific functions and structures. Examples include a tech room, music room, library, laboratory, focus room, reading room, community room and more.
This means that each child can move around in their preferred environment and choose whether they need peace and focus for individual work or a more active environment for group work. In addition, the layout remains flexible and can be adapted or redesigned by the children. Creativity without limits!

Get to know the SOT team
The School of Tomorrow team consists of educators (trained and recognized teachers), mentors (teachers with a subject-specific focus or training) and experts (specialists in a certain discipline).
The team is in constant communication and meets weekly to exchange ideas, discuss projects and plans and to ensure that each individual child receives the best possible care, support and encouragement.
The children are not assigned a class teacher in the conventional sense. Every team member is there for every child. Educators divide up the areas of responsibility and the children enjoy a variety of contact persons who are all there for them. Our team ensures that there is variety, exchange and constant new impulses and creates personalized learning plans for each child.
Our locations
School of Tomorrow offers different school grades at three locations.
Our school offers a first-class education at three locations for kindergarten, primary, secondary and gymnasium. As not all school grades are available at every location, you will find an overview here to help you choose the best possible place of learning for your child.

Instead of traditional classrooms, the kindergarten features a “home base” as a central, mixed-age main area, as well as specialized “micro-environments” such as a tech room, music room, library, lab, focus room, reading room, and community room. During free learning, the children independently choose the environment best suited to their activity and actively help shape the learning environment. They are guided and supported at all times, with a focus on “learning to learn.” During guided learning activities, the use of the rooms is more structured and tailored to the specific learning situation.

Social and personal skills are just as important in everyday school life as academic content. Students take on responsibilities at an early age, support younger children, and gain their first experiences in leadership roles.
The SOT core competencies—including empathy, cooperation, communication, and resilience—are continuously fostered and developed as part of daily learning activities. The learning process focuses on both individual development and social interaction.
-
SOT does not rely on traditional grades and homework as its primary means of motivation. Instead, the focus is on individual learning progress, personalized feedback, and competency-based assessments. Families receive regular, transparent feedback on their child’s progress.
-
The learning groups are mixed-age and typically consist of up to 24 children. By working in small groups and with support from several educational professionals, a staff-to-child ratio of approximately 1:8 is ensured. This creates a balanced learning environment that fosters both social interaction and individual support.
The educational team consists of educators, mentors, subject specialists, and assistant teachers, and is bilingual (German and English). The planning of guided learning activities and theme-based units is carried out collaboratively as a team.
For individual projects, each student is assigned a designated mentor from the team who guides the learning process, provides regular feedback, and Lehrplan 21 alignment with the competencies outlined in Lehrplan 21 .
